Overview
In Ottili ONE, a company is the tenant*: all your data, modules, integrations, team members and AI assistants live inside that one company. An account alone is not enough — only with a company does the platform become usable. This article explains how to create your first company, what details you need, and what happens afterwards.
Ottili ONE follows the principle One login, one company, one dashboard*: your account is your identity, the company is the space where you work. Later you can create additional companies or accept invitations from other companies (see [Company and team](/docs/company-and-team)).
Note:* Which features are available in which status (Live, Beta, Private Beta, In Development, Planned, Concept) is explained in [Understand feature status labels](/docs/understand-feature-status-labels).
Prerequisites
Before you create your first company:
- You have created an Ottili account — see [Create an Ottili account](/docs/create-an-ottili-account).
- You have verified your email address — see [Verify your email](/docs/verify-your-email).
- You are signed in to the dashboard at [dashboard.ottili.one](https://dashboard.ottili.one).
Create your first company
Company creation is part of onboarding and a Live core feature* of Ottili ONE.
1. After email verification you land in the dashboard onboarding flow.
2. Enter a company name* (your legal business name).
3. Select an industry* from the list (retail, services, manufacturing, etc.).
4. Set a time zone* (the basis for scheduling and reports).
5. Choose a currency* (default currency for financial operations).
6. Optionally upload a logo* (for branded communications).
7. Confirm your entries.
Once the company is created, it becomes the active company context*: the dashboard reloads and from now on shows that company's data.
Later you can adjust company details any time under Settings → Company* (see [Company and team](/docs/company-and-team)).
Details you provide
| Field | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Company name | Your legal business name; appears on invoices, emails and in the workspace. |
| Industry | Primary industry — influences defaults and recommendations in the workspace. |
| Time zone | Drives time values in reports, schedules and automations. |
| Currency | Default currency for orders, invoices and financial overviews. |
| Logo | Optional image for branded communications. |
All fields are part of the company profile and can later be maintained centrally under Settings → Company*.
After creation: the company context
Every action in Ottili ONE happens within a company context. This means:
- The dashboard shows only the data of your current company.
- Modules, integrations and permissions are company-specific.
- The AI assistant works only with the data and permissions of the current company.
- Data isolation is strict per company (tenant isolation).
Every new company starts on Free Forever* (€0): this includes the core dashboard, Business Hub basics, Ottili AI and Ottili Flows with a limited usage allowance. Paid plans are being prepared for general availability. Plans, credits and billing are explained in [Understand plans and credits](/docs/understand-plans-and-credits).
Features and their availability
Ottili ONE labels every feature with a status so you can see at a glance what is available:
- Live* — generally available and fully supported.
- Beta* — publicly available in a pre-release state; may still change.
- Private Beta* — available to an invited group.
- In Development* — actively being built, not yet available.
- Planned* — accepted and scheduled but not yet started.
- Concept* — an early idea under consideration.
These labels help you judge what you can rely on. The full meaning of each status is in [Understand feature status labels](/docs/understand-feature-status-labels).
