Usage & hard limits

How Ottili ONE meters usage, monitors consumption, alerts you, and enforces hard caps so you never get a surprise bill.

Ottili ONE tracks usage per company so you always know how much you are consuming and what is left. This article covers the meters, monitoring, alerts and the hard caps that protect you from unexpected charges.

Usage meters

Each plan carries allowances for a set of usage meters*, for example:

  • AI credits* — the shared company wallet (see [Credits & company wallets](/docs/ai-credits-and-usage)).
  • API requests* — calls to the public APIs.
  • Storage* — files and workspace data.
  • Automation / run counts* — flows, Coder runs, LD3 packages and similar executions.
  • Seats, workspaces and active modules* — account-scale limits.

The exact allowances depend on your plan. The live numbers are always shown in Settings → Billing* in the dashboard.

Monitoring usage

Admins can monitor consumption in real time:

  • A usage overview* compares current usage against each meter's limit.
  • The credit section* shows live balance, remaining credits and a per-surface breakdown.
  • A rolling history* makes trends visible before they become problems.

Usage alerts

When usage approaches a limit, Ottili ONE surfaces warnings so you can act before anything stops:

  • Near-limit warnings on the relevant meter.
  • Notifications to admins as consumption crosses configured thresholds.

Exceeding limits — hard caps

Ottili ONE enforces hard caps* rather than allowing silent overage:

  • When a credit or usage cap is reached, further consumption of that meter pauses* rather than running up an unexpected bill.
  • Workspace sub-caps can stop a single noisy workspace without freezing the whole company.
  • Nothing is billed "after the fact" beyond what your plan and confirmed top-ups allow.

This is the core promise of the credit model: AI and execution usage is bounded by your credits — never unlimited.*

Best practices

  • Set a realistic monthly cap* and a comfortable auto-recharge threshold.
  • Watch the per-surface breakdown* to find a single workflow that dominates consumption.
  • Right-size your plan when you consistently sit near a limit (see [Upgrades, downgrades & cancellation](/docs/plans-and-changes)).
