Shared billing and credits

How Ottili ONE shares billing and credits at the platform level — one company, one subscription, one shared credit wallet that powers every module, engine and AI feature.

Overview

Ottili ONE is a unified platform: one login, one company, one dashboard. That unity carries through to billing. Instead of every product, module or engine billing separately, all billing and credit consumption runs through a single, company-scoped model.

This article explains what "shared" means in Ottili ONE billing: one company, one subscription, one wallet that every AI feature and automation on the platform draws from — and how tenant isolation (company_id) keeps it clean.

One company, one subscription

Ottili ONE is billed per company*, not per person. Each company has:

  • its own subscription and plan* — selected per company, not per user.
  • its own usage limits* — AI credits, API requests, storage and other meters are scoped to the company.
  • its own payment method and invoices* — handled through Stripe.

That means: if you manage multiple companies, usage and entitlements stay cleanly separated. You can upgrade one company without affecting another, and usage never leaks across company boundaries.

One shared credit wallet

The core building block of shared billing is the company-wide credit wallet. Each company has exactly one AI credit wallet with two balances:

  • Included monthly credits:* granted by your plan, reset at the start of every billing period.
  • Recharge credits:* added when you buy credit packs; they sit on top of the included balance and are spent after included credits are used.

All AI features across Ottili ONE — Ottili AI, Business Hub AI, LD3, Flows/automations and Ottili Coder — draw from the same wallet. Every workspace and every user under the company draws from the same pool. That is the heart of "shared" credits: no separate billing per product, module or engine.

How usage is metered

Every AI request consumes credits based on:

  • the model used* (each public model has a base cost per million tokens).
  • input and output tokens* (cached input is cheaper).
  • the product surface* (Coder and agentic workflows use more credits than a standard chat).
  • risk and context factors* (long context, tool-heavy, or ultra-tier models increase the cost).
  • a safety margin* so the final charge reflects real provider cost plus overhead.

Each response reports how many credits it used. A configured budget pauses long-running work (for example Coder runs or agentic missions) clearly before any unexpected overspend.

Hard caps and recharge

Hard caps protect you from runaway spend:

  • Included credits reset every billing period; unused included credits do not roll over.
  • When the total balance (included + recharge) hits zero, further AI actions are blocked and return a payment-required error.
  • The wallet reports a clear status (ok, depleted or blocked) so the UI and API can show exactly why an action stopped.
  • No charges occur without an explicit, configured budget or purchase.

When you need more than your included allowance, buy credit packs in your billing settings. Recharge credits are added immediately and do not expire with the monthly reset — they persist until used.

Availability and status

Ottili ONE is in early access*. The honest status of billing:

  • Available (Live):* the Free Forever plan, company-wide AI credits and wallets, usage metering, and the billing model described here.
  • In preparation (In Development):* self-service checkout for paid plans, automated invoices for paid plans, and prorated plan changes (upgrades/downgrades). These follow the same company-based, credit-aware model.

The general status vocabulary (Live, Beta, Private Beta, In Development, Planned, Concept) is explained in [Understand feature-status labels](/docs/understand-feature-status-labels).

Where you manage this

Open Settings → Billing* in the Ottili ONE dashboard. Billing is scoped to your current company context, so switch to the relevant company first if you manage more than one. Credits and the wallet are managed under Settings → AI*.
