Understand plans and credits

How Ottili ONE ties plans and credits (AI credits, company wallet) together — what Free Forever is, which plans exist, and where you manage billing and credits.

Overview

Ottili ONE gives you capabilities through plans* and credits*. A plan decides the entitlements and monthly allowances your company gets; credits are the usage-based currency that meters AI features across every module. The two work together: your plan sets how many AI credits are included each month, and credits determine how much you can do with Ottili AI, Business Hub AI, LD3, Flows/automations and Ottili Coder.

This article explains the basics for new companies. Deeper topics — the company wallet, recharge, limits and invoices — are covered in the linked articles.

What is a plan?

Ottili ONE is billed per company*, not per person. Every company has its own plan, its own usage limits and its own payment method. That means if you manage multiple companies, usage and entitlements stay cleanly separated.

A plan is a tier of entitlements. It determines, among other things:

  • How many AI credits* are included each month.
  • How many seats*, how much storage* and how many API requests* are available.
  • Which modules* can be activated.
  • Whether priority support* is included.

Plans are defined in the Product Truth registry pricing_catalog.yaml and sourced from the canonical billing definition (services/unified_api/platform_module/billing_catalog.py). No invented prices or tiers — every figure traces back to a real source.

What are credits?

AI credits* are the single, company-scoped currency for AI features in Ottili ONE. Every AI request consumes credits — based on the model used, input and output tokens, the surface used, and risk or context factors. Every response reports how many credits it used.

Each company has exactly one company wallet* with two balances:

  • Included monthly credits:* granted by your plan, reset at the start of every billing period.
  • Recharge credits:* added when you buy credit packs; they sit on top of the included balance and are spent after included credits are used.

When the total balance (included + recharge) hits zero, further AI actions are blocked and stop with a clear error — no unwanted overspend. You check the balance under Settings → AI* or in your billing settings.

How plans and credits connect

The plan is the *source*; the wallet is the *consumption*:

1. Your plan grants included AI credits at the start of each month.

2. AI features across all modules draw from the shared company wallet.

3. When included credits run out, you can buy credit packs* — added immediately and retained until used.

4. A configured budget* pauses long-running automations (e.g. Coder runs) before unexpected overspend.

This keeps your usage predictable: the plan sets the baseline, credits meter the real work.

Available plans

The plans below are defined in the canonical billing registry. All include monthly AI credits; current prices per tier are published on the [pricing page](/pricing).

PlanIncluded AI credits / monthStatus
Ottili ONE Free (Free Forever)100Available
Ottili ONE Starter500Available
Ottili ONE Pro5,000Available
Ottili ONE Business25,000Available

Free Forever* costs nothing and is available to every company — ideal for trying things out, a personal setup, or a small team. It is deliberately permanent and does not expire.

The exact split of what is free*, paid*, or credit-backed* in the Free plan (seats, storage, API requests, automation runs and more) lives in [Usage & hard limits](/docs/usage-and-limits). That reference is the single source of truth the dashboard renders from.

Status: what is available?

Ottili ONE is in early access*. For billing, the honest split is:

  • Available (Live):* the Free Forever plan, company-wide AI credits and wallets, usage metering, and the billing concepts described here.
  • In preparation (In Development):* the self-service checkout for paid plans, automated invoices for paid plans, and prorated plan changes (upgrades/downgrades). These follow the same company-based, credit-aware model.

The general status vocabulary (Live, Beta, Private Beta, In Development, Planned, Concept) is explained in [Understand feature-status labels](/docs/understand-feature-status-labels).

Where do I manage this?

Open Settings → Billing* in the Ottili ONE dashboard. Billing is scoped to your current company context, so switch to the relevant company first if you manage more than one.

There you see your current plan, next invoice date, usage versus limits for key meters, the payment method on file, and your subscription status. Credits and the wallet are managed under Settings → AI*.
